Here's a little bit about me...

I've been teaching fifth grade at SAS since 2004. Before coming to Singapore I taught for three years in my home state of California. Then I decided to venture overseas and spent two years teaching 4th grade in Munich, Germany. When not in the classroom, I can be found searching for the perfect running trail, curled up with a captivating book or seeking out adventures in Asia with my husband Paul.
Favorite Things:
- Food, favorites are Italian, Mexican and Thai
- Thunderstorms

- Listening to music
- Sunday afternoons with no agenda
- Lake Tahoe
- Crisp, sunny Fall days (sure miss those here!) and long summer evenings
- Finishing a well written book
- Fresh flowers
- Cooking - Crowds - Complacency - Smoking
If you really knew me, you’d know that…
- As a kid, I was horrible at math, but now it’s my favorite subject. Go figure!
- I met my English husband in New Zealand. He moved to Singapore and we were married in Lake Tahoe, California. Phew!
- I am inspired by kids who never give up.
- If you really want to motivate me to do something, tell me it can't be done (especially because I'm a girl!).
- I love figuring out puzzles and playing games.
- I miss my family (parents and one older sister) back in the States, but am lucky that they love to travel.
- My sister and I both love Where the Red Fern Grows. It's our very favorite children's book! We even got our Dad to read it last year. Runners-up include, Walk Two Moons, Wonder, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, The Hobbit, Math Curse and (for giggles) Walter the Farting Dog.
