  1. I have never read his books but it is always cool when authors come to the school. It is quite amazing that he won the Caldecott Honour award. I am looking forward to it.

    1. This looks interesting. I've never read any of these books either, but I agree that it's always fun to see the visiting authors at school. I'm so excited to learn more about this award-winning author!

  2. I love this book not only because of its humorous writing, but also because the illustrations are wonderful. Mrs. Brundage said that Peter Brown was inspired by other books' illustrations. His creativity is great, the way he prints designs on paper to make plants and other backgrounds. I can't wait to see him! P.S: I think I'm going to get his signature!

    1. I really liked the book too! I thought the illustrations were awesome and I wish I could draw like that too. I also hope that my mom would like to get his signature from me.

    2. While I agree with you both, that the illustrations are fantastic, I love the idea of this story. A tiger that has to figure out how he can be a little bit 'wild' and a little bit 'proper'. I think we all have a little bit of both inside us. It's important to learn where it's appropriate to be which! It's such a fantastic idea for a story!

  4. I can't wait for him to get to SAS! His style of artwork is really unique. Many of the stories look really funny and cool. Many of his stories that he illustrates are very weird and it's amazing how he manages to draw what he sees.

  5. It really amazes me how you can write a book that has very little words. But lots of pictures. Peter Brown is amazing at just seeing something in his head and drawing it on a piece of paper.

    1. Interesting thought Greg! I wonder if it's easier for Peter Brown to write a story knowing he's also illustrating it. Can you imagine if he wasn't and someone else drew the pictures? His story would be like 50 words!!! THAT would be hard!!!
