Learning Chinese (or any language for that matter) can be tough! In Chinese, there are tens of thousands of characters that can take years to master. ShaoLan Hsueh has come up with a creative way to help you learn them using design and story. What do you think of her technique of teaching? Could this help you learn Chinese?
I think that this is very cool. I never thought of doing it this way before! This can totally help me learn more characters faster in Chinese. (If only I was a little more creative in my life.) The only thing that I wonder is how would you do this in another language? I have never learned another language before, so I'm not sure if you can do this or not with other languages, but it really helps for learning Chinese. The only thing is that the characters above are a lot easier than the ones that we learn in Chinese. Otherwise, this is so cool, and next time I will try to do this when I'm having trouble memorizing a character in Chinese.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Julia, this might be a good idea, but how could they make a picture every character? Also, you can't do this in Spanish, because you use english lettering. You could use it in a language like Korean or Ancient Egyptian heiroglyphics, though.
