Lately, we've talked a lot about the importance of being thankful. Thankful for friends and family, grateful to have a roof over our head and healthy foods to eat, the list could really go on and on. This short video sums up a lot about how valuable it is to be grateful for what we have. And at our school, we sure do have A LOT!
To be honest, I sometimes think that I am not good enough and I do such terrible work and stuff like that, but after I saw him smile and so happy when he was like this, I know that I never should have thought these things. That speech was so beautiful and made me think differently. I sure that I would change anyone who thinks poorly and is worried about themselves. I am at loss of words for how great this video is.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, the speech was really moving and i really appreciate what we have now.
DeleteI only have one word to say about this video. WOW! At first I freaked out when I saw him, but now that I think about it, it's crazy how happy he is. The part that made me cry the most was when he talked about how mad at life he was when he was eight, and how was he ever going to hold his wife's hand, but boy, is he brave. I am going to try not to feel bad for myself now because every time I will, I am going to think about this video. WOW!
ReplyDeleteI had heard about Nick before and I have watched this video before too. I agree with beatrice. It is really amazing how much he can do and how happy he is! He is just an amazing person.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a bummer that he has no arms and legs. He sounds like great person, and he deserves arms and legs. He taught a great lesson that you should never feel bad for yourself. He's also quite funny, like when he was so cold "he couldn't feel his hands". I actually saw this guy on a commercial, and he came to Singapore. My sister even said he came to SAS. He is such a great person, and he doesn't deserve to be treated poorly
ReplyDeleteI think that I have seen him before. Isn't he the surfer with no arms no legs? Or maybe that was just the picture on the cover of a book that they wrote about him. But I've seen him before and he really makes me think, I can do this I can do this... When I'm stuck of a move in ice skating and when I think that I'm not good enough to be doing this yet just seeing him on that surf board, one little picture, that encourages me to think YES I AM! Every time that I do that, I end up doing it and passing my test.
