Check out the amazing Batik Kaleidoscope artwork our class created. I'll bet some of these are going to be gifts for family members over the holidays. Lucky them!
That was pretty fun making the batiks. I liked how there were a bunch of different procedures. We would draw the outline, trace the outline with wax, and then dye it. I liked mine for the colors I used, but the wax went everywhere! I think I should work on controlling that.
I liked making them too. I also had some trouble with the wax (spilling it on my arm that is). I liked how all of them were different, apart from Luis' and mine. And we both finished at the same time!! :)
There are some amazing artists in our class! I agree with you guys that it was super fun making these batik paintings. I agree with you Kasym the wax bit was hard.
I really like all of these boutiques, and I think they look nice. Even though some people spilled wax, I think those people covered them up very well. Too bad mine isn't up there.
I agree Declan and Nate. Those batiks look amazing. Everyone's had their own special touch or something that they were good at to make their project shine. It was fun to make and all, but I really did not like the smell of the wax! That was the only thing that bothered me for this. I love that we all got an opportunity to do this as I know some schools who would not allow this until 6th grade. Everybody did such a great job on this!
Wow! Those batiks are really very pretty. Everyone has done an exceptionally great job. I love how Ms Clayton has made a slide show of these . That way, everyone can get to see their artwork. These batiks were really fun. Some people (including me) had a few accidents but it all turned out well at the end. Great job everyone!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Julia is in my photo! I'm still laughing about this because usually I'm the photo bomber! I will get my revenge!!
