Before and After

Here's a VERY good reminder that things aren't always as they may seem.  Whether you're a fan of hers or not, you have to respect that someone as high-profile as Lorde is comfortable in her own skin to call out things like this.

  1. This is really cool to see. I remember watching a video of how much people photoshop for advertising, just to make their stuff look good. I don't like to see stuff like this. It's not real, and it's not the truth.

  2. Wow look at the difference, I actually am sort of a fan but I cannot believe the difference! I never pictured her real face to be that. This is what is so bad about advertisements.

  3. I think that this is a good thing to remember that if you look at an advertisement and say "Wow! I wish I could look like that!" you should remember that things always get edited so it gets sold. I never knew that, that was what her real skin looks like! It shows how many people edit these day. But sometimes it can be good. And sometimes it could be bad.

  4. I was amazed about how much they could change her face. I think that doing stuff like this is really wrong because you are not telling the truth in the picture. I like how she feels fine that she is flawed and not perfect.

    2. I agree, it's awful that people edit things like that, especially when they're advertising something. It just disappoints people when the product doesn't work the way they thought it would. I also like that she is not ashamed that she really looks that way and said that flaws are okay.

  5. I really admire her courage to actually post these pictures saying that these flaws are alright. I am disappointed to see people changing looks with makeup. If the product wont help, they should be honest about it. I guess they want to make money.
