If you haven't had a chance to check out CNN Student News yet, today's show has some coverage that hits close to home with news about Typhoon Haiyan that hit the Philippines over the weekend. Have a look.
What happened to to Philippines is so sad. Imagine how hard it is for someone there to loose their whole family. I hope the people that got injured, get medical care quickly. I remember watching some of this on the weekend on the news and seeing all the devastation. As well as hearing how many people were lost that may have had loved ones.
I know Amber, it is so sad. All those people who died and drowned. It really sad to us because my mom's friend/classmate drowned. Her children were only young like 5-10 years old. People are urgent to find their loved ones.
After the news about Philippines, there were news about Iron Man suits in real life, flying a jet pack and all this crazy stuff. I really enjoyed the Iron Man suit news the most.
This is really sad. Imagine losing all your family in a typhoon. On a up note my helpers family are very safe, so she is not all stressed out and crying. It's just so sad what happened.
I think the Iron Man suit is really cool. It's going to make a great soldier into a extraordinary soldier. Imagine that!
Wow I cant believe that people are actually making a Iron-Man suit. Maybe in the future they will try to make a super soldier like Captain America. I'm glad that technology is improving.
Sadly I have some relatives there in the Philippines, also we still cant contact them. My family are donating to the Philippines that's why I am not donating to Cambodia. I might visit the Philippines.
They're not going to make an Iron Man in real life because, 1 the steel is way to heavy to fly and 2 they used special effects and a green screen to make it look like Iron Man was flying.
